Next Steps

Special Events

Rituals and traditions are essential to camp. Each of our 3-week sessions includes four super special events:

Friday Night Lights Cookout and Campout

A day camp NIGHT to remember. So much to be excited about: a delicious cookout with something for everyone, Camp O’s Amazing Race, root beer floats, and The “Camp O Sing Off” under the stadium lights at El Cerrito High School. Finally, what better way to end the day than a giant sleepover under the stars.

Camp O is Blowin’ Up

On Camp Olympia spirit day things are going to get a little crazy. Camp will be transformed into a carnival like atmosphere. Campers will arrive to an inflatable extravaganza, bust a move during a mid-day all-camp dance party, receive special carnival treats, enjoy the annual Staff vs. Staff Game-A-Palooza, and end the day with a special Big Reveal. Get ready to show your spirit and have a blast!

The Camp Olympia Games (COG)

Four days of nonstop team spirit, crazy competitions, and special activities mark The Camp Olympia Games. During the COG we will break the entire camp into two big teams: the Blue Wave and the Orange Crush. Who will win the total camp tug-o-war? Cheer the loudest? Earn the Big 6 Banner?

During the Camp Olympia Games, victory comes from much more than just winning. Effort, spirit and living the Big 6 Behaviors are just as important as we decide which team will take home – “The Golden Bolt”.

Let the games begin!

The Camp O-some Awards

The Camp O-some Awards Ceremony is held on the last day of each session and follows right after the final competition of The Camp Olympia Games. Family members are invited to join us for this special event. Once we are all together, a handful of very special camp-wide O-some Awards are given out and we celebrate the end of the session with a ceremonial balloon release indicating which team has won the Camp O games and will receive the Golden Bolt.

Every session ends with small team ceremonies where every camper receives a personalized award from their counselors that truly speaks to who they are as a camper. Campers have a final moment to share their favorite memory, take pictures, and say goodbye to their new friends from all over the Bay Area until next year.

Thanks for your interest in Camp Olympia.

It is with very heavy hearts that we have decided not to open Camp Olympia this summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As parents ourselves, we share your agonizing desire to give our own kids a summer filled with all of the amazing things Camp Olympia is designed to provide: joyful, fun-filled sports and games; forever friendships; lifetime memories; tons of opportunities to practice and build character strengths that come from teaming with peers and trying new things; and, last but certainly not least, close relationships with well-trained, amazing counselors.

We will deliver all that and more… in 2021! We hope you will join us then!

Feel free to hang out and learn all about Camp OIympia and provide your email address below so that we can reach out to you when we open registration for 2021.

Be well and stay safe.

In gratitude,
Jason Singer
Owner & Director of Camp Olympia
